Colour explosion in the city of beautiful chaos

August 13, Cairo, Egypt, 43 degrees, last day of summer back home before flying to where I recently started to call home.

Driving around the city, bright colours invaded my eyes. The demolition process to extend the ring road and upgrade insecure housing unveiled the colourful heart of the city’s infamous red brick jungle.

This is a chapter of an ongoing story. The story of Cairo and its people, full of chaos yet not void of beauty. Deep down this urban jungle, life shouts and cheers, blasting you with all shades of colours, personalities, and childhood dreams.
